Advanced Scuba Diving Instruction

 

Open Water Pro Diver

This course stresses the additional training and required skills that begin to bring you beyond the Basic Open Water Course and Certification. It includes additional classroom and pool instruction with two more open water training dives. The purpose of this course is to train the beginning diver with additional skills of proficiency and confidence.

Advanced Open Water

Prerequisite: you must be a Basic Open Water Certified Diver with at least (6) open water dives to enroll in this advanced training program.

The course involves beginning instruction in deep diving, compass/natural navigation, night diving and basic scuba rescue skills.

Open Water Pro and Advanced Open Water courses are taught together and priced at $225.00 per student. Pricing doesn't include required scuba equipment.

Diving Science Applied Technology

Introduction to TEC/REC

Odyssey Excursions makes it possible for those divers that are merely curious about technical diving to try the equipment and some of the procedures in a pool or limited open water environment. Its a great course for any diver planning to broaden his or her expertise and enjoy double tank dives.

Dive Overview: You will be provided with a technical diving rig, which will consist of a properly set up double tank configuration, BCD harness, and regulators with long hose. You must provide your own basic scuba equipment (e.g.: mask, fins, weights, exposure suit).  If you do not have your own exposure suit, you may rent one or make it part of your private excursion expenses.   

Course Prerequisites:

  • Client must be 18 years of age.

  • Open Water Diver Certification or Equivalent.

  • Have a minimum of 10 logged dives.

Course Requirements:

Includes assembling and inspecting the basic technical diving rig, proper weighting techniques, neutral buoyancy, valve management, and gas sharing drills.

  • 3 Hours of Classroom Instruction.

  • 1 Confined Water Dive.

  • 1 Limited Open Water Dive.

Dive Master

Prerequisites: Please contact us for a list of requirements and minimum standards necessary to qualify for this course.

This course is designed for individual divers who are interested in working as a professional in the sport diving field.

Assistant Dive Instructor

This course is designed for those those individuals who would like to assist a professional dive instructor but do not necessarily want or intend to be an instructor on their own.
